ALLIANCE Special Projects
As a part of the Alliance’s work to achieve its vision that the behavioral health care needs of all Mainers are met with the highest quality and most compassionate care in the most appropriate environment, we work with our affiliate organization, the Maine Behavioral Health Foundation, to seek grants to develop or promote models of care that emphasize best practice and quality standards.

Behavioral Health Workforce Study
In the Fall of 2023, CCSME, on behalf of the Maine Behavioral Health Workforce Development Collaborative, conducted a survey of workforce development needs in the behavioral health workforce. The survey was distributed via email through CCSME, AdCare Educational Institute of Maine, the Alliance for Addiction and Mental Health Services, and the Rural Behavioral Health Workforce Center. The survey included 2 sections, one intended to be answered by individual members of the workforce including those in clinical and peer support roles about their individual professional development needs, and one intended to be answered by those in leadership positions within behavioral health organizations about recruitment, retention and development in their organizations.
